Why can't I do gas top-ups at Payzones or Post Offices now?
If you’ve lost your gas top-up card, you won’t have to wait ages for a new one now – but we’ve had to change where you can use it.
You’ll now need to visit a PayPoint shop to top-up your gas credit. PayPoint can be found at loads and loads of local corner shops, newsagents, supermarkets, garages and off-licences all over the UK.
So why did we make the change? Before, if you lost or damaged your gas card, you’d be waiting 5 working days to get a new one. And that’s not great if you’re in the middle of winter and need to get the heating back on, or are cooking with gas.
It’s now much quicker to get a replacement card from your local PayPoint
Now, if you damage or lose your gas card, you can grab a new one at any PayPoint shop – and get your gas supply up and running much faster.
Once you’ve got a new card, just contact us through web chat (lines are open 8am - 8pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-7pm on Fridays and 9am - 2pm on Saturday). We’ll give you a ‘TAG’ code that will be active after an hour, and will make sure your new card is loaded with our rates.
Where can I find a PayPoint?
You can find your closest PayPoints by searching with your postcode on their website.
What about my electricity key?
You’ll still be able to top up your electricity key at any PayPoint or Payzone as usual.
